On the first floor of the Isaiah Mansion as part of Back to Athens12 you can see the artwork “Fuzzy Game”. The work deals with the characteristics of modern society, through a chess set, an emblematic symbol of logic and strategy use. In this game, the pawns are made of wax. They have no color or rank, no roles, hierarchies or opposing camps are distinguished. The soldiers fight each other even though they are simultaneously disintegrating. Many are fallen, piled, shapeless – the rivalry is no longer structured or meaningful. It is a phenomenon of decay and ideological dissolution. Who is fighting each other and why? Where are the ranks? What role does the only knight that remains on the field play?
